Friday was my last day of work for the next 2 years!! I mean...last day of corporate America. What I do with WestLoop Photography is a wholey separate endeavor that is more of a passion than anything else. But I finished working my marketing job at a subprime lending institution that I had been working at for 2+ years. What a relief! I mean, I liked the people for the most part, it was just the failing business economy mixed with poor business planning that really got to me. In the end though, it was an invaluable experience that I will take with me into the next phase of life! SCHOOL!! Yup...I'm going back to SCHOOL! MBA program at Babson College in Boston! It's gonna be wild! I went searching for a backpack online the other day...it brought back some crazy memories. Remember the pencil holders and notebooks and hardcover books. I can almost smell my old backpack. Anybody else have the old Eddie Bauer backpacks that were given a lifetime warranty? So what is keeping my time occupied now?? Well..travel! I'm in Dallas this week..Mexico the next and then it's time for the big move out east! For now, Dallas is nice. First time here. It was great in the early morning, but it is really HOT now! It's to be 101 F tomorrow which is going to be interesting when I'm out on the golf course! I also got to visit Josh and Mary Ellen Deen's newborn baby, Grace. What an amazing site to see such a small human life in your hands. She was a very alert baby and was even supporting her own head at 3 weeks! That's fairly fast. Has this gotten me interested in having my own child? Mmmmmm....NO! Cute...but I'm not interested at this point...maybe in the near future..but definitely not now. Well, ya'll, hopefully I'll be able to update some pics on here. Haven't been good at updating, but with these few days off AND....drumroll...my new IPHONE coming in, we can figure out a way to update more frequently. |
